Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

A non-refundable retainer of 50% is required to secure your session date and time.

The remaining balance is due on or before the session date.

Accepted payment methods: Zelle or Venmo.


1.1 Portraits Session Overtime Clause

Each portrait session includes a set amount of coverage time as outlined in the booking. Any additional time beyond the scheduled session will be considered overtime and billed at a rate of $50 per 20-minute increment.


2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellations made less than 30 days before the session are subject to forfeiture of the retainer.

One reschedule is allowed with at least 30 days' notice and is subject to photographer availability.

No-shows will be treated as cancellations.


3. Copyright & Usage

The Photographer retains full copyright and ownership of all images.

Clients receive a personal-use license only and may not sell, edit, or alter images without written permission.

Social media use is permitted with proper credit to the Photographer (e.g., FB @dearlifephotos or IG @dearlifephotos or website tag www.dearlifphotography.com.)


4. Editing & Delivery

Final images are professionally edited at the Photographer’s discretion to maintain artistic integrity.

No unedited (RAW) files will be released.

Final galleries are delivered within 2 weeks for portraits, events may take up-to 3 weeks via [online gallery/download link]


5. Editing Clause

The Client agrees not to alter, edit, manipulate, or apply filters to the Photographer’s final images in any form. Any modifications, enhancements, or edits must be requested through and completed by the Photographer. Unauthorized editing constitutes a breach of this agreement.


6. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to arrive on time and prepared for the session.

The Photographer is not responsible for lost time due to tardiness or uncooperative behavior.

Any special requests must be communicated in writing before the session date.


7. Image Storage

Images will be stored for a maximum of 3 years after delivery. Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their files.


8. Model Release

By booking a session, clients grant the Photographer permission to display selected images on the Photographer’s website for portfolio purposes, which is required. Use of images for social media, marketing, or other promotional purposes may be opted out of by submitting a written request prior to the session.


9. Liability

The Photographer is not liable for any injuries or property damage that may occur during the session.

In the rare event of unforeseen circumstances (equipment failure, illness, etc.), liability is limited to rescheduling or refund of the session fee.


10. Weather Policy (Outdoor Sessions)

Sessions may be rescheduled due to unsafe or unfavorable weather conditions at the Photographer’s discretion.


11. Agreement

By booking a session, the client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
